Redcloud Peak is one of the most colorful 14ers in Colorado, with red and orange volcanic rock giving the peak its name. Typically combined with Sunshine Peak.

Standard Route

From the Silver Creek-Grizzly Gulch trailhead, the trail climbs through colorful basin to the summit via the northeast ridge. 9 miles round trip standalone; 15 miles if adding Sunshine.

What to Expect

The red rock makes for spectacular photos in good light. The summit ridge connecting to Sunshine is exposed but non-technical. Plan for a full day if doing both peaks.
