Corrections and trail updates

If a distance, elevation figure, trailhead location, or permit detail on a page is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. The most useful message names the page, quotes the line you think is wrong, and says where the better number comes from (a Forest Service page, a park bulletin, a recent trip). Photos of a new sign or a washed-out road are welcome. Every corrected page shows a revision date, so you can see when the fix landed.

Closures, new reservation systems, fee changes, and road conditions change from season to season and are the updates we most often miss. If you were just there and something on our page no longer matches the ground, that is exactly the note we want.

What we cannot do

We cannot tell you what a trail looks like this morning. Our guides are planning references compiled from published sources, not live condition reports. For current conditions, call the ranger district or park that manages the trail, and for fourteeners check the recent trip reports on 14ers.com. In an emergency in the backcountry, call 911; Colorado search and rescue is dispatched through the county sheriff.

Photographs on this site come from Wikimedia Commons and Pexels and are credited on the image credits page. If you are the author of an image and the credit or license is wrong, email us with the page URL and we will correct or remove it.
