Mount Lincoln is the highest peak in the Mosquito Range and the centerpiece of the famous Decalibron loop — four 14ers (Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln, Bross) summited in a single day.

Standard Route

From the Kite Lake Trailhead near Alma, the standard Decalibron loop climbs Mount Democrat first, then traverses the broad ridge to Mount Cameron, Mount Lincoln, and Mount Bross before descending back to Kite Lake. 7 miles total for the full loop, 3,700 feet of cumulative gain.

What to Expect

The Decalibron is one of the best value-per-effort 14er days in Colorado — four summits in 7 miles. Mount Bross's summit is on private land and is typically closed; check current access before assuming you can stand on top.
