Culebra Peak is the only privately-owned 14er in Colorado. Access requires a paid reservation through the Cielo Vista Ranch and is limited to specific days.
Standard Route
From the ranch parking, the trail climbs through high meadow before ascending a class 2 ridge to the summit. 5 miles round trip, 2,700 feet of gain.
What to Expect
Access fees run around $150 per person and reservations fill months in advance for weekends. The climb itself is one of the easier 14ers — the entire challenge is logistics.
